Herb Eschbach. Herb grew up in Amenia on the family dairy farm (owned since 1947). He is a graduate of Webutuck Central School, attended Dutchess Community College, and Old Dominion University, Norfolk (VA) with a Biology Major. Career: NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation, 34 years; Freshwater Fisheries biological studies and research; Conservation Law Enforcement. He also served as Director of DEC’s Stony Kill Farm Environmental Education Center in Fishkill (NY). He served in the US Navy and was a US Marine Corps-Combat Medic in Viet Nam. Member of the Amenia Town Board, 2000-2004. His interests include alpine skiing (he is also a ski instructor), hiking and backpacking [term exp. 2013]

Alison Hale was born in New Bedford, Ma. in 1935. She grew up at The Millbrook School, where her father was head of the History Department; graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BS in Occupational Therapy in 1956; and received an M.Ed. from Institute Open Education (Antioch) in 1979. Alison and her husband, Nathan, moved to Sheffield Rd in Amenia in 1971 (Old Sheffield Milk Factory). She retired from Wassaic DDSO in 1993. Member of the Town of Amenia Wastewater and Housing Committees. [term exp. 2013]

Charlotte Murphy, lifetime resident of Amenia. Retired bank teller, married to a dairy farmer for 55 years. Seven children, twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. Member of the Ethics Committee. [term exp. 2012]

Harold Noah, resident of Amenia since 1969. Economist. Retired professor and dean, Teachers College, Columbia University.  Author of numerous scholarly books. Four children, six grandchildren. [term exp. 2012]

Betsy Park, resident of Amenia since 1965. Employed by the Millbrook Hunt as huntsman from 1978-2004, now retired. Two daughters, six grandchildren. Interests continue to be hounds and hunting, and enjoying our now 42-year-old organic garden! [term exp. 2012]

Janet Reagon. Janet is a life-long resident of Amenia and a graduate of Webutuck Central School, Wellesley College, and SUNY New Paltz. Now retired, she taught U.S. History and Government and Economics at Norwood (MA) High School and Webutuct High School. While at Webutuck, she served as the President of the Webutuck Teachers Association and was a member of the New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) statewide committee for social studies. She was Town Supervisor for Amenia from 2006-2007 and presided over the passage of the Comprehensive Plan Update and the new Zoning Law. She currently chairs the Amenia Wastewater Committee, is a member of the Amenia Democratic Committee, and secretary for the Dutchess Democratic Women’s Caucus. [term exp. 2011]

Betty Rooney, resident of Amenia since 1955. Former manager of medical office (1966-79); former VP of Busy Bee Products (1984-89) and office manager of Dedrick & Son Insurance Agency in Amenia (1979-84). Currently chairman of Affordable Housing Committee, Town of Amenia. Married; five children, ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. [term exp. 2011]

Judy Velletri, resident of Amenia since 1999. Business owner in Millbrook and current member of Zoning Board of Appeals. [term exp. 2011]

Jerry Thompson, homeowner and full-time resident of Amenia since 1980. Photographer whose work frequently takes him to many locations in the Hudson Valley region and beyond. Author of and contributor to books on photography and related matters. [term exp. 2011]
